What We’re Doing
Water Quality
Bacteria levels are acceptable for recreational use, but other pollutants threaten the river ecosystem.
Shoreline Protection
The shoreline lacks the required buffer of vegetation to reduce erosion, filter runoff, and provide habitat.
Invasive Species
The eurasian milfoil aquatic plant and other invasive species have already been found in the river.
River Safety & Etiquette
Recreational congestion in the narrow river threatens human safety and boat wakes damage the shoreline.
